Be a part of the first Team Shelby Grand Nationals 2013. Team Shelby Northeast & Shelby American celebrate this inaugural event in Summit Point WV and Carlisle, PA.
This is the year for Shelby owners to attend the first Team Shelby Grand Nationals for a once in a lifetime opportunity. We have enjoyed the excitement of the Shelby Bash in Las Vegas, and now Team Shelby will host another annual national event. Our Grand National event will be exactly that. For this event, Team Shelby plans on moving to different region each year.
Team Shelby Grand Nationals 2013 begins at Summit Point, West Virginia and its famous road course. Drive your Shelby the way Carroll Shelby designed it to be driven: Hard and fast! This portion of the celebration is an instructional high-performance driving event conducted by Summit Point’s staff of highly trained driving instructors. You will be able to bring your street car out for 2 days at the track. All participants will receive classroom instruction, skidpad instruction in Summit Point’s training cars (including front and rear skid management), and sessions of in-car instruction in your own car. It is a chance to go fast and have fun in a safe environment. The Summit Point Circuit is a 10-turn, 2.0-mile road course that features a 2,900-foot main straight and 400 feet of elevation change. This original circuit opened in 1969. The Summit Point Circuit provides challenging high-speed turns with ample run off areas and a challenging and technical carousel section. This circuits features truly make it a must destination for recreational drivers. High speed driving instruction taught in a controlled environment will positively make each participant a better driver. The track event is open to vehicles provided they meet the minimum safety requirements. We welcome all Shelby inspired and Ford cars, Bosses, Ford GT’s, Vipers, Shelby Dodge etc. Accommodations will be available in the Winchester, Virginia area - about 15 minutes from the track. Shelby American's very own Gary Patterson, Sam Trout and other factory representatives will be on hand to give you track pointers and show off their latest and greatest Automobiles. The track part of this event is optional to participants but all participants are welcome to attend the track to spectate.
On Thursday evening enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow Team Shelby members as Team Shelby Northeast host the first party of this event at our Winchester host hotel, The George Washington. The George Washington is providing us with their Grand Ball room to gather and get acquainted with fellow attendees as we enjoy a few cocktails and
Hor d'oeuvres the night before our big rally to Carlisle Pa. (This part of the event is optional if your schedule allows. If not, you may meet up for the Porker Run or in Carlisle)
Up next will be the Team Shelby Northeast Poker Run. Prepare for an exhilarating drive from Winchester Virginia with the final destination being our host hotels in Carlisle Pennsylvania, just minutes from the fair grounds. We will get an early start on Friday so put your windows down, blast some great music and drive “Team Shelby style” in a caravan to Carlisle Pa. for the greatest Ford event in the world! This organized poker run will take us through some scenic and historic sites with a lunch stop along the way. (This part of the event is optional if your schedule allows. If not you may meet up in Carlisle)
Friday evening the Carlisle Expo Center comes alive with everything Shelby “The Cars Are Stars”. Thanks to our friends from Ford Motor Co. for allowing us to once again use this great facility to host our Team Shelby Grand Nationals Cars Are Stars Celebration Party. This is a private event and only a limited number of tickets are available. With premium food and drinks, an unprecedented setting, live music and entertainment to enjoy along with numerous Shelby and Ford VIP’s in attendance, this will be one celebration you will not want to miss. Also during this Grand Celebration Team Shelby Northeast will once again host its own car show and award ceremony featuring the Top 20 Best of Show. Even the most discriminating collector will want to be part of the silent action featuring banners, die casts and other memorabilia to benefit the Carroll Shelby foundation.
The next chapter of the Team Shelby Grand Nationals is the Carlisle Ford Nationals. On Saturday morning your Shelby will join hundreds of other Shelby vehicles from the past 50 years. Carlisle Events is providing Team Shelby with a premium location to park over 300 cars in the center of it all - just steps from the Midway and grandstands. Team Shelby Northeast will put you in the center of all the excitement that is Carlisle. Enjoy a fantastic BBQ lunch prepared exclusively for ticketed Team Shelby owners. Relax in the club's tent as a DJ spins great tunes from the past 50 years. Shelby factory reps. along with Team Shelby founders Robert Lane and Sharon Elliott will be on hand to answer any of your questions.
Saturday night means the Ford Parade & Street Party in downtown Carlisle. Not just any parade though; you can be a part of a 400 vehicle parade with a police escort as Shelby American and five decades of Shelbys lead you through historic downtown Carlisle, PA. Thousands of spectators will cheer you on as the streets are closed off for all but parade participants. You will park downtown and enjoy an old fashioned street party. Local establishments will be open for you to enjoy the best that Carlisle merchants have to offer.
Sunday wraps up the event with Carlisle’s awards presentation. Will your Shelby take home a big prize?

Track
If you are participating in the track event you must complete Summit Point's track Registration.
Track registration will require the last 4 digits of your Team Shelby Track Package EventSpot Payment confirmation number. Therefore, you must pick your package below and remit payment through Paypal before registering with Summit Point for the track portion of the event.
Please print and read the Technical Inspection and Safety Information sheets provided in the Summit Point registration page. Track insurance is available thru HPDE Insurance see link in Summit Point registration page.
For more information on Summit Point Motorsports Park and to familiarize yourself with the track we will be renting go to Summit Point's website, look under Friday at the Track since our track event was based on FATT this will give you the best information. Packages are available for two, if you chose a Package for two your four sessions can be split with your teammate in any way.
Novice drivers will have classroom instruction and Instructors will be on each run with the driver to assure you are driving your car to the best of your ability.
You must be approved by Summit Point to be in the Advanced group which will require significant track experience. Select advanced and complete the registration form. Summit Point will verify your track experience and if approved will wave the training and in-car instruction.

Carlisle
You must pre-register for the Carlisle Ford Nationals Gate-N-Go Before May 6th 2013 $49.50 fee will apply. By doing so Carlisle Events will mail you your entry window sticker and all the information you need to know once you're parked in the fairgrounds. Please pick the Team Shelby drop down to be parked in the designated Shelby area.
If you're interested in driving your car in the parade on Saturday, please register for the parade at the same time. (Additional $20.00 fee will apply)

The George Washington is a Wyndham Grand boutique hotel located in the center of old city Winchester. The hotel is located within walking distance to most of the shops, pubs and restaurants in downtown Winchester, Va..
NOTE: There is secure parking at the hotel for cars but NOT for trailers.
Marriott Courtyard Winchester (Secondary hotel) $84.00 per night.
Located just minutes from downtown Winchester, the Marriot is a great alternative if you are bringing a trailer and would like to keep the trailer at your hotel. Marriott is also setting up a spot to wash your cars and including a conference room for our use to meet with members and locked storage during the event.
